Use factor labeling to cancel units and put the correct numbers into the conversion factors so that each multiplication is by a special type of "1" so the units change, but the measurement doesn't. Ex. 2.54 cm = 1 inch (exactly, by the way), so this can be used as 1 in/2.54 cm or 2.54 cm/1inch conversion factors:
