g(g^-1(x)) = x = g^-1(g(x)) for any value of x
g(g^-1)(7)) = 7 = g^-1(g(7))
h(h^-1(x)) = x = h^-1(h(x)) for any value of x
h(h^-1)(0)) = 0 = h^-1(h(0))
f(f^-1(x)) = x = f^-1(f(x)) regardless what value of x
inverse functions are similar to inverse arithemetic operations
x times 3, divided by 3 = 3x/3 = x
x + 4 -4 = x
whatever the function does to x, the inverse function reverses it and brings you back to x
