The two numbers to the right of the decimal are cents. So even if you are multiplying nine dollars you would write out $9.00.
Therefore what is $10.95 X 12?

10.95 * 12 = 131.40
A simple way without a calculator is to multiply 10 X 12 = 120
And then 1.00 X 12 =12
Add them up 120 + 12 = 132
And then subtract 12 X .05 (1.00 - 0.95) = .60
132.00 - .60 = 131.40
10.95 x 12 = 131.40
