You know that P and T are directly proportional with n, V constant:

T₂/T₁ = P₂/P₁ or I prefer T₂ = T₁(P₂/P₁) where state 1 is 44.1mm Hg, 40 degrees C and state 2 is 1.7 atm and T₂

The units must mesh and be absolute (0 in T means 0 in P). 40°C = 313.15K and P₂ is 44.1/760 atm. Now, just plug into the equation. T₂ will be in K which you can convert back to Celsius.
