Hello Sandy, here are two fingerings!
Sandy W.
asked 04/07/22How do you trill a D flat on piccolo/flute?
They key has four flats (B flat, E flat, A flat, and D flat).
I want to trill Dflat 6.
I think it would be a Dflat/C sharp to Eflat trill?
What fingerings are used for that?

Played flute for over 30 years in variety of settings
There are two ways I would approach this.
- One way would be to hold your right hand in the position of how you would play and Eb - 4 fingers down. Keep them down as you play a Db/C# with no fingers of your left hand. As you trill, drop your middle finger, ring finger and thumb (like a grabbing motion). Continue to do this back and forth to produce a trill.
- The other way is to use the button on your right hand between the E and F pads.- is it the button used for high B.
The first way would be the best sounding one.
