Experienced/Active Flute Teacher and Performer

I am a student at Cal State Fullerton majoring in Music Performance currently studying with international flute soloist, Jean Ferrandis, and Thomaz Tavarez. Additionally, I have performed in various masterclasses for flutists such as: Denis Bouriakov, Ji Weon Ryu, Jenni Olson, James Hall, and Julee Kim Walker. I have studied and performed music in the US, France, and Guatemala.

I am an active performer and teacher in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. I am a member of the Loyola Law School Orchestra (LLS), where I have also appeared as guest Principal Flute. I also perform in various CSUF ensembles and freelance gigs. I recently taught flute at the Music Scholars Academy in Brea and have been teaching private flute lessons since I was a junior in High School (2022). In addition, I have given a masterclass at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe Springs. My students have seen success in auditions, exams, and performances.

Before college, I won awards such as: First Place in the Southwestern Youth Music Festival (twice in a row). Finalist Certification at the Santa Monica Conservatory of Music Flute Competition, Outstanding Musicianship Award at Forum Festivals, and Most Outstanding Award from the Santa Fe High School Wind Ensemble (twice in a row). I also got to perform under the baton of acclaimed conductor, maestro Anthony Parnther.

As a teacher, I prioritize my student's success by doing weekly analyses of their playing, giving tailored feedback, and assigning weekly practice homework. I am best at teaching beginner to intermediate students. Students are advised to have basic music reading skills before studying with me.
