gcf of 48 and x is 24.
LCM = 44, what is x?
try 24, then GCF = 24, LCM =48, close but nope, unless 44 is a mistake, and 48 was intended as the LCM
numbers with GCF =24 include 48 and 24, or 24 times 5, 7, 11, ...etc such as 120,168, 264, ...
numbers with LCM = 44 include 4 and 11, 44 and 1, 22 and 2,
to be a Common Multiple of two numbers (integers) a and b, a and b must divide the multiple evenly, with no remainder
factors of 48 = 2^4 and 3
factors of 24 = 2^3 and 3
GCF = product of each prime factor raised to lowest exponent = 2^3 times 3 = 24
factors of 44 = 2^2 and 11 (and 1)
integers that divide 44 evenly are 1, 2, 4 and 11, they don't include 48 or 24, 120, 160, 264, ...there's a mistake(s) in the problem as written
