hi A-you need to add five quntatys of heat 1- heat released to cool steam from 120 c to100 c use Q= c steam ×m× (120-100) ---------------------2-heat released to chang phase from steam to liquid in the same degree use Q= c (condensation)× m .-------3-heat to cool water from100c to 0c . use the equation Q =c ×m×(100-0) --‐----------------------------- 4-heat released to change phase from water to ice use Q= c (melting) ×m ---------------5- heat to cool ice from 0c to -4 use Q=c ice ×m×(0-(-4)) .---------------the mass m is 0.5 kg ,find all the constants from your textbook. the answer will be in joules convert it to calories.
