you can use the coefficients on the balanced equation to set up a mole ratio between hydrogen and oxygen
2 H2 + O2 ---> 2 H2O means that the ratio is 1 mole O2 to 2 moles H2
13 moles H2 x (1 mole O2 / 2 moles H2) = 6.5 moles O2
meaning that 6.5 moles of oxygen are needed to react completely with 13 moles of hydrogen
