she needs at least an 85 on the final, to pass with a 70 average, if the final counts the same as each of the 4 tests.

(52+ 66+76 + 71 + F)/5 > 70

265/5 + F/5 > 70

F > 350 -265 = 85

But usually the final counts more. If the final counts 1/2 the grade

then she now has 265/4 = 66 1/4 average

She then needs only 73 3/4 to pass with a 70 final grade
