Complementary angles add up to 90°, so the easiest way to do this is with trial and error. If you're a fan of formulas, though, this might help with similar future problems: a stands for the angle.
a + 44a = 90
(44+1 more = 45, so...)
45a = 90
I'll let you do the last step, where you divide each side by 45. :)
For any future problems with a similar setup, you can use the same formula and just put the new number in instead of 44.
