I am going to assume you mean READ/Write and not red! That probably means you're talking about tracks on a HDD. A HDD is divided up into tracks, sector, and clusters. Think of it like a filing cabinet, each cabinet is labeled so that you can easily find your files. Your HDD is divieded up into tracks, tracks are divided up by sectors, finally a group of sectors is called a cluster. Somewhere in those tracks and sectors is your say.... MS Word file or Excel file. When you click on the file, Windows looks for the correct Track/Sector and finds/loads your file. Hope that helps.
