Synthesize Acetic Acid from Ethyl Alcohol by an appropriate oxidation. Purify by distillation

React Ammonia with Chloroethane with stoichiometry adjusted to produce a primary amine, in this case Ethylamine. (70% in water because to the low boiling point).

React Acetic Acid with Ethylamine to produce N-Ethyl-Acetamide.

React 2-Chloropropane with N-Ethyl-Acetamide (with sodium hydride in DMSO) to give the product.
