The attachments to the N are the N's so that limits us to 2, 3, and 5 as there is a methyl and ethyl group.
2 is out as it is a butanamide 4 C's in longest chain counting the C in the amide.
Numbering of Carbons starts at amide Carbon, so the position of the phenyl is 2 and methyl is 3. Note you can also eliminate 5 because the methyl cannot be on the 4 carbon as that is an end carbon and you would have a pentanamide.
