An acid is a proton (H+) donor, so it will give up a hydrogen and whatever it gives it up to is it’s conjugate base.
A base is a proton (H+) acceptor, so it is able to accept a hydrogen and whatever accepts the hydrogen is its conjugate acid
First determine which is the acid and which is the base.
NH4+ will give up a hydrogen and become NH3, so NH4+ is an acid and NH3 is it’s conjugate base.
OH- will accept a hydrogen and become H2O, so OH- is the base and H2O is it’s conjugate acid.
