Question

The solubility of sodium hydroxide is 80g/100ml water at 20 degree celsius. If we dissolve 160g of sodium hydroxide in 200ml of water at 20 degree celsius, is the solution saturated? Why?

Yes, we can dissolve up to 80g/100 ml , so 2 x 80 g / 2 x 100 ml, so 160 g / 200 ml.

After dissolving 160 g / 200 ml we cannot dissolve more, so the solution is saturated
