D. Group 2A metals always have an oxidation number of +2 in molecules that have more than one type of atom.
E. When paired with only one metal atom, Hydrogen has an oxidation number of –1.

Option A would be false, correct? I thought I had circled choice A, but I suppose I did not and did not realize it until it was too late.
