Calculate the pressure

Question

A sample of an ideal gas has a volume of 2.23L at 281 K and 1.08 atm.  Calculate the pressure when the volume is 1.28 L and the temperature is 306 K.

P is proportional to T and inverse with V, so

(P₂/P₁) = (T₂/T₁) (V₁/V₂) or the form I prefer P₂ = P₁(T₂/T₁)(V₁/V₂) where 2 is the case you don't know P and 1 is the case that you know all 3 variables. This is called the combined gas law. You can use any units as long as they are absolute (no degrees C) and they are the same for the any particular physical quantity.
