I figured this out by setting it up algebraically.
(r)+(3r)+(r-5)=90
count how many Rs there are.
5r-5=90
add 5 to both sides to cancel out the subtraction.
5r=95
divide both sides by 5 to isolate the r
95/5=19 so r=19
Then you go through the initial equation and substitute 19 for r.
(19) + (3x19) + (19-5) = 90
3x19 = 57
19-5 = 14
