The area of a triangle is 119 cm². if the height of the triangle is 3cm less that its base, what is the measurement of its base and height?

A=hb/2 = (b-3)b/2 = 119
b^2 -3b = 119(2) = 238
b^2 -3b -238 = 0
(b-17)(b+14) =0
b -17 =0
b = 17 meters = base length
h=17-3 = 14 meters high
