This is true! The energy exists based on the ability of light to excite an electron’s state causing it to leave an atom. This is referred to as the ionization of the electron and mediates everything from how Wi-Fi works to connect you to the internet all the way to how a CT scan works to find potentially damaged tissue and organs.
