Use the equation:
where "x" is the distance traveled, "vi" is the initial velocity, "t" is the time it takes, "a" is the acceleration. We are told that x = 100 m, vi = 0 (starts from rest), and a = 2 m/s2.
100 = (0)t + 1/2(2)t2
100 = t2
t = √100 = 10 seconds
