Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
a^2 -5a -2
g(a) = a^2 -5a -2
y = x^2 -5x -2 = 0
x = 5/2 + or - (1/2)sqr(25 +8) = 2.5 + or - .5sqr33
x = about 2.5 + or -2.9 = 5.4 or - 0.4 = a
if I understand your problem, it's worded a little ambiguously.
a = -2/5 or 27/5

Not sure what you are asking. If a = g, then a^2 - 5a - 2 will equal g^2 - 5g - 2. Or are you referring to g as a specific constant? In Physics, g = the acceleration due to gravity which is 9.81 m/s^2 on Earth.08/23/21
