Student T Distribution question: Explain how P (t2 < ‐2.92) = 0.05 ?

Is it because of P (t2 < -2.92) being the same as 1 - P (t2 > -2.92), or how?

(The degrees of freedom is 2)

That explains why P (t2 < -2.92)is the same as 1 - P (t2 > -2.92), it does NOT explain why P(t2<-2.92) = .05. The answer to that is that the t distribution with 2 degrees of freedom and a T value -2.92 has a left tail (area under the probability curve to the left or less than -2.92) of .04995 when calculated by computer (or using a table with left or lower than cumulative value). This rounds easily to .05 or 5%
