Calculate the Eocell for the redox reaction shown below in volts:

Be(s)+Cd+2(aq)→Be+2(aq)+Cd(s)

Look up the half reactions in a standard reduction potential table. Cadmium is being reduced, so that number of volts will be correct for Cd to Cd²⁺. The Beryllium is oxidized, so take the negative of the reduction of Be²⁺ to Be. Add these two numbers and you have the overall cell potential.
