Yes, books were published during the reign of Nazi Germany. Many of them contained themes surrounding the Holocaust and/or Nazis but not all did. Here are 3 popular books published during this time.
1935- Elias Canetti: 'Auto-da-Fé' - synopsis: a man who goes mad from his love of books, which also leads to his death
1936- Klaus Mann: 'Mephisto' - synopsis: A man sells his soul to the Nazis and becomes a celebrated theater star during the Third Reich
1942- Anna Seghers: 'The Seventh Cross'- synopsis: Seven men flee a concentration camp. Six are captured and are hung on crosses. One cross remains empty. Anna Seghers' story is about how solidarity can survive even in times of terror.

Thank you. I should have been more specific: Books published in Germany during the 3rd Reich's reign. You said many contained themes about the Holocaust. Really? I am surprised to hear that such books were published while the nazis were in power about the Holocaust. Any titles? Thanks again. Steve06/22/21
