In order to convert a pH value to [H3O+], we take the antilog of the negative pH as follows:
- 10^-4.72 = 0.000019 M
We can also find the pOH value by using the given pH value:
- pH + pOH = 14
- 14 - pH = pOH
- pOH = 14 - 4.72 = 9.28
We can find [OH-] by using the pOH value and taking the antilog of it:
- 10^-9.28 = 5.25 x 10^-10
