i plugged in (x-1)^2+(y-5)^2 they said its wrong :(

Well the first part of your answer is correct (x-1)^2 but since the k is -5 when you plug it into the equation, it should be ( y --5)^ 2 but once it is simplified, it would be (y+5)^2 Then do not forget to square the radius, so 16^2, which is 256
