The equation of a circle is:
(x-h)2 + (y-k)2 = r2
Where (h, K) is the coordinate of the center point of the circle. In this case the center of the circle is (1, -5). Therefore, h=1 and k= -5.
From the equation the r represents the radius of the circle.
All you would need to do is plug in the values of the center point and the radius into the equation.

i plugged in (x-1)^2+(y-5)^2 they said its wrong :(06/03/21

Well the first part of your answer is correct (x-1)^2 but since the k is -5 when you plug it into the equation, it should be ( y --5)^ 2 but once it is simplified, it would be (y+5)^2 Then do not forget to square the radius, so 16^2, which is 25606/03/21

sorry I meant square the 18, which is 32406/03/21

Elizabeth V.
so the equation of the circle would be: (x-1)^2 + ( y+5)^2 = 32406/03/21

Hope that helps :)06/03/21
