- 9.How many grams of oxygen did I use in my experiment to produce 50.0g of water?
CH4 + O2 CO2 + H2O
- 10.How many moles of water are produced if we burn 0.46 moles of methane? (use equation from #9)
- 11.How many grams of carbon dioxide are produced from burning methane with 798moles of oxygen? (use equation from #9)

9) Balanced reaction: CH4 + 2 O2 --> CO2 + 2 H2O.
(50.0g H2O) * (1 mole H2O /18.02g H2O) * (2 mole O2 /2 mole H2O) * (32.00g O2 /1 mole O2) = 88.8g O2.
10) Same reaction: (0.46 mole CH4) * (2 mole H2O /1 mole CH4) = 0.92 mole H2O.

Just saw 11) (798 mole O2) (1 mole CO2/2 mole O2) (44.01g CO2/1 mole CO2) = 17,600g CO2 (to 3 sig figs).05/31/21
