Spiral Galaxies have distinguishable arms or branches. Elliptical galaxies look like blobs, with no branches or arms protruding from the center. The closest galaxy to us, the Andromeda Galaxy, is an example of a spiral galaxy photographed by Hubble. NGC 4150 is an example of an elliptical galaxy photographed by Hubble.
