I assume the reaction is decomposition, NaHCO3 --> NaOH + CO2 (balanced as is).
Conversion step 1, grams to moles: (3.5g NaHCO3) * (1 mol NaHCO3 / 84.0g NaHCO3) = 0.0417 mole of NaHCO3 (I carry one more digit than is significant for a more precise final answer).
Step 2, moles of NaHCO3 to moles of CO2 from balanced reaction: (0.0417 mol NaHCO3) * (1 mol CO2 / 1 mol NaHCO3) = 0.0417 mole of CO2.
Step 3, moles to grams of CO2: (0.0417 mol CO2) * (44.0g CO2 / 1 mol CO2) = 1.8g theoretical yield of CO2.
