(-1/3)x + (1/2)y = 5. multiply by 6
-2x +3y = 30
UNLESS, you really meant to write: -1/(3x) + 1/(2y) = 5, then multiply by 6xy to get: -2y + 3x = 30xy. You probably want the 1st answer above though.
(-3/4)x -(1/4)y = 10 multiply by 4
-3x -y = 40
UNLESS you really meant to write -3/(4x) - 1/(4y) = 10, then multiply by 4xy to get: -3y - x = 4xy
