This equation is not balanced. I see 12 carbon atoms going in, but only 1 going out.
C12H22O11(s) + 12O2(g)→ 12CO2(g) + 11H2O(g)
Looks better. The balanced equation says it takes 12 moles of oxygen for every 1 mole of C12H22O11. If we have 2.7 mole of sugar, we will consume 18.9 moles of oxygen.
