Hi there! To solve for percent error, you are going to use the following equation:
[(theoretical mass - experimental mass)/theoretical mass]*100%
For example, if your theoretical mass was 10g and the mass obtained experimentally was 8g, you would have:
[(10g-8g)/10g]*100%
(2g/10g)*100%
(0.2)*100%
20% error
