H = (20/11)(36 = 720/11 = 65 5/11 = $65.46 is what Hugo had originally

He gave 1/4 and 1/5 away, that's 9/20 or 45%

and he gave away $5

.45(65.46) = $29.46. add 5 to get 34.46

65.46 -34.46 =$31 left
