In exothermic phase changes, energy is being RELEASED.
In Dispersion, you are going from a gas to a solid. (higher kinetic energy to lower)
In Solidification, you are going from a liquid to a solid. (higher kinetic energy to lower)
In Melting, you are going from a solid to a liquid. (lower kinetic energy to higher)
In boiling, you are going from a liquid to a gas. (lower kinetic energy to higher)
Because dispersion and solidification go from high to low levels of energy, energy is being released and they are exothermic.
