Hello, Caitlyn,
Please review the conversion of a pH or pH number into a concentration. As per my other replies, PH and pOH are the negative logs of the respective ion's concentration. For water, pH and pOH total 14, so subtract the pH from 14 to find the pOH, and vice versa.
pH=8.37
14 - 8.37 = 5.36 is the pOH
To find the concentrations, find the antilog of the negative of both numbers:
pH = 8.37 : 10-8.37 = 4.266x10-9 is [H+]
pOH = 5.36: 10-5.36 = 2.344x10-6 is [OH-]
The product of these two numbers should be 1x10-14
