When you need are solving a mass-mass problem, you need to first convert Mass A (grams) to moles. To do this, you need to divide by the molar mass of the compound. This gives you Moles of compound A. To convert from Moles A to Moles B, you need to use the molar ratio. The molar ratio can be found from the coefficients of the balanced equation. Multiply Moles A by the molar ratio to find Moles B. Lastly, convert Moles B to Mass B (grams) by multiplying it by the molar mass of compound B.
