How do you work out a person goes to bed at 9:30pm and sleep for 9 hours. What time the person wake up.

9:30+9=18:30

then because 12pm is midnight and anything that crosses that is am

18:30-12=6:30am

9:30 + 9 hours = 18:30.   but the 9:30 is actually in the evening, so the morning would represent the new time = 6:30 am.  Some will work it a little differently, but our answers will be the same.
