termine the pH and pOH of a solution at 25°C with a hydronium ion, H3O+(aq), concentration of
3.20x10-10 mol/L.
By definition the H3O+ is - log [H3O+].
So, pH = - log(3.20x10-10) = 9.49 (a scientific calculator can do this).
As pH + pOH = 14, the pOH can be obtained by solving for pOH,
pOH = 14 - 9.49 = 4.51.
