3 boys average 52 snacks two boys averaged 61 and 2 boys avg 44 how many snacks did each make?

 3 boys averaged 52 snacks boy 1 and boy 2 averaged 61 snacks and boy 2 and boy 3 averaged 44 snakes. How many snakes did they each make?

(a + b + c)

        3               =52    Multiply both sides by 3 and get:  a + b + c = 156

 

 

(a + b)

   2            = 61          Multiply both sides by 2 and get:  a + b = 122

(b + c)

   2           =44            Multiply both sides by 2 and get : b + c = 88

 

Now substitute. 122 + c = 156, c = 34

Substitute again.  b + 34 = 88, b = 54

Substitute again. a + 54 = 122, a = 68
