We need a balanced equation for the decomposition of KClO3. I believe the following works:
2KClO3 = 2KCl + 3O2
The molar ratio of KCl to KClO3 is 2/2, or 1. When we decompose 1 mole of KClO3 we get 1 mole of KCl.
5.0 grams of KClO3 is 5.0 grams/*122.55 g/mole), or 0.0408 moles KClO3. That means we'll make 0.0408 moles of KCl, according the equation. Convert that to grams by multiplying by the molar mass of KCl. I get 3.04 grams.
