The question wants the mass expressed in kg, kilograms. 1 kg = 1000 grams, so the conversion factor becomes
(1 kg/1000 grams)
(20 grams )*(1 kg/1000 grams) = 0.020 kg ore

Thanks for your note. I enjoy specific heat calculations and, in particular, the amazingly high specific heat of water. Makes sense when you think about it, but it's counterintuitive to discover water has more energy than iron, for the same mass and temperature.
