asked 03/20/21Pope John XXII Quote from 1935
Hello.
In one of my books, there is quote. "The signs are increasing. The lights in the sky appear red, blue, green, rapidly. Someone is comeing from very far and wants to meet the people of earth. Meeting have already taken place. But those who have really seen have been silent." Pope John XXII, 1935.
That is how it appears in the book. I tried to find another source for it, and failed. I am wondering, is this quote real?

Hey Aaron!
Great question! The quote is real. It is an English translation of a passage in Les Propheties du Pape Jean XXII (The Prophecies of Pope John XXII) which was compiled by Pier Carpi and published in the 1970's. While I was unable to find the publication in public domain, (specifically in English) there are a few websites which published English translations.
Hopefully that gets you in the right direction!
Blessings,
Cameron Brock

“The signs are increasing. The lights in the sky will appear red, blue, green, rapidly. Someone is coming from very far and wants to meet the people of earth. Meetings have already taken place, but those who have really seen have been silent.” — Pope John XXII Featured in: Pope John XXII Quotes Jesus Christ himself told his disciples in answer to their question: “When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence [parousía, Greek] and of the conclusion of the system of things?” (Matthew 24:3) With regard to the “pangs of distress” that would mark “the sign” of his presence, or parousía, and of “the conclusion of the system of things,” Jesus said: “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom [in war], there will be earthquakes in one place after another, there will be food shortages. These are a beginning of pangs of distress [marking the birth of a new system of things].” (Mark 13:8) “Then he went on to say to them: ‘Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be great earthquakes, and in one place after another pestilences and food shortages; and there will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs.’”—Luke 21:10, 11; Matthew 24:7, 8. 6 “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom.” (Matthew 24:7) Millions of people have been killed in wars during the past century. One British historian wrote: “The 20th century was the most murderous in recorded history. . . . It was a century of almost unbroken war, with few and brief periods without organised armed conflict somewhere.”“There will be food shortages.” (Matthew 24:7) Researchers say that food production has increased greatly during the past 30 years. Nevertheless, food shortages continue because many people do not have enough money to buy food or land on which to raise crops.“There will be great earthquakes.” (Luke 21:11) According to the U.S. Geological Survey, since 1990 alone an average of 17 earthquakes per year have been powerful enough to damage buildings and crack the ground. And on an average, earthquakes strong enough to cause total destruction of buildings have occurred yearly.“Sign of the Son of man.” On that same occasion Jesus said to his disciples: “And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentation, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Mt 24:30; Lu 21:27) Just before this comment he had spoken of the prophet Daniel. (Mt 24:15; Da 9:27; 11:31) And from the expression Jesus here used it is evident that he was now referring back to Daniel 7:13, 14, where the vision depicted “with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man” gaining access to “the Ancient of Days” and receiving a ‘kingdom that will not be brought to ruin.’ This linked “the sign of the Son of man” with the time when Jesus would be exercising Kingdom power. Jesus applied the expression “Son of man” and the prophecy at Daniel 7:13, 14 to himself.—Mt 26:63, 64; Mr 14:61, 62.04/13/21
