Your two targeted colleges are very different. Consider:
-- size of first year classes
-- what type of learner are you? Larger classes, little interaction with the professors, smaller classes, more of a personal touch.
-- look at the school not the reputation. look at the departments that have what you want as you consider majors, not necessarily the one with the overall reputation. I worked at Boston U for many years. The College of Communication was in the top 5 in the country, but the overall school reputation was just fair.
-- read up on pros and cons on how to research colleges. Niche is a good start.
