A food chain is the system of energy transfer between different organisms. In the chain their are primary consumers, secondary consumers, and tertiary consumers which consume an organism. Plants are known as producers which use energy from the sun to create food for consumers, while fungi are decomposers that decompose consumers that are no longer living.

The arrow points to the grasshopper because the grasshopper is the one who gets (receives) the energy!
