4 moles NO2 / 2 moles N2O5 (place the compound you wish to find in the numerator of the conversion factor and the compound you are given in the denominator).
4 Multiply the factor by the amount of the given compound.
4 moles NO2 / 2 moles N2O5 x 1.4 moles N2O5 The unit, mole N2O5 cancel leaving the unit mole NO2.
Finally, moles NO2 produced = 2.8 moles.
