When an airplane flied with a given wind, it can travel 3000 km in 5 hours. When the same airplane flies in the opposite direction against the wind, it takes 10 hours to fly the same distance. Find the speed of the plane in still air and the speed of the wind.

5(x+w) = 3000 = 10(x-2w) = 10x -20w

5x + 5w = 3000

10x + 10w = 6000

10x -10w = 3000

20w = 3000

w = 150 mph = wind speed

20x = 9000

x= 450 mph = speed with no wind
