If x = 9 units, y = 5 units, and h = 4 units, then what is the area of the parallelogram shown above?

height of a parallelogram = 4 =h

x=9, y=5

2 sides = 9

the other 2 sides = 5

I don't see a parallelogram shown anywhere

but it must be either with side 5 as a base or side 9 as a base

if the former then the Area = 5x4 = 20 square units

If the latter then the Area = 9x4 = 36 square units
