question for chemistry

A solution of hydrochloric acid is diluted from its a volume of 6.0 L to its new volume of 0.77 L. If its new concentration is 14.4 M, what was the original concentration of this solution in moles per liter?

Hello, Molly, - Please check the wording. The question says ". . . is diluted from 6.0L to 0.77L." I'm not sure how it can be diluted and wind up with less volume than the original.
